NoThomas noPartey. The new midfielder is on fire!!

Published

me

As we all saw upon the seasons Arsenal were playing, a connecting bridge between the defenders and attackers was missing, and Thomas Partey might be just the man to be it!

PARTEY’S PERFORMANCE AGAINST MAN UNITED WAS A TRUE MASTERCLASS!

He was the midfield presence they’ve been searching for.
– Partey dominated for Arsenal at Old Trafford. Man of the Match .Defends and attacks with ease. Only been in the Premier League for a number of weeks. Already completely comfortable.
He seems like the real-deal for Mikel Arteta.
He carried great security in his luggage, showed a very productive play, and he was very capable of breaking off his opponent’s offensive maneuver.
Top for Arsenal touches, possession won, tackles , interceptions and dribbles completed. “He’s a midfield player who can do everything”

Thomas can be the right soldier to entrust defensive strategies.
A huge presence for the Gunners alongside Elneny, who he struck up an excellent partnership with.

Arteta on Partey:

When asked about Partey’s performance after the game, Arteta replied: ‘He was really good. I wouldn’t like to go to individuals because they all contributed a lot.
The boss seems to be pretty confident about Thomas, the fans will just have to watch and enjoy the show Thomas Partey is about to put on.

Contract ,and his impressions about the club

Thomas Partey signed a four-year contract with the club and he will reportedly pocket a whopping 260.000 pounds per a week , which is 4 times more than what he earned at Atletico Madrid.

The 27-year-old Ghana midfielder made 35 league appearances and scored three goals for Diego Simeone’s side as they finished third in La Liga last season. A new journey it’s about to begin, and a new midfielder is about to amaze English football.
This man is coming to shake the room at The Emirates. He seems solid as a rock!

“I think I’m in the team that I’m looking forward to playing for. They have everything, a good manager , good players, right mentality and the way they play is very good– it’s the perfect place for me” – said Thomas Partey to the media.

HOW GOOD IS THOMAS PARTEY?

In last season’s Champions League, Partey has averaged 3.6 tackles per game and 1.5 interceptions, providing excellent protection for his back four. Then in attack, he makes 1.6 key passes and completes almost two dribbles per 90, which is rather impressive for someone in his position.

Thomas is the kind of player that Arsenal truly needs, to bring back it’s shape. With a player this good Champions League nights might be on their way..

The deal still remains.

On the topic of midfielders, Arsenal appear to still be in the hunt for Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Ruben Neves.

Les Sports have announced his arrival late last night but warns fans that he won’t be able to join up with Arsenal until he has finished his Covid protocols.

They reported:

“We come to the end of the summer series.

On Saturday morning, Albert Sambi Lokonga (21) arrived in London.

He must pass the rest and the end of the medical tests started the day before. A formality, in theory.
He will then be able to officially sign for five seasons at Arsenal.

He was unable to join his teammates directly in Edinburgh where they are starting a one-week training course (with two friendlies).

Passing through the England box where the health situation is worrying, he must respect a quarantine of ten days before being able to train collectively with the Gunners.

If all goes well, it is during a second internship, in the United States,
that Sambi Lokonga will discover his new partners.

With a preparatory meeting against Romelu Lukaku’s Inter scheduled for July 25.”

Obviously, we will have to wait for Arsenal’s official announcement,
but I think we can all be reassured that this second signing is as good as done.

Who will be our third signing?

Bukayo Saka’s injury status update ahead of semi-finals for England

Published

me

Gareth Southgate has provided an update on Bukayo Saka’s fitness ahead of the EURO 2020 semi-final on Wednesday.

Bukayo Saka missed England’s quarter-final triumph against Ukraine after suffering a knock in training after successive starts against the Czech Republic and Germany. The Arsenal teenager has already returned to training with England. Gareth Southgate provided an encouraging update on the injury issue ahead of the semi-final against Denmark.

“He should be fine,” said Southgate. “He did declare himself available for the [Ukraine] game. But we had not really had the chance to see him on the pitch and working at the level we felt would vindicate that decision.

“He will go back into full training with the group on Monday and he should be fine.”

The major question is whether Southgate will reintroduce Saka into his starting team

England did well enough without Bukayo Saka against Ukraine. But that appeared to be down to a change in formation. And also the fact that Ukraine simply isn’t on the same level as Germany.

Jadon Sancho, in particular, didn’t provide much more than Saka had in the previous two games. With Saka, you know you’re getting both the defensive work rate and the attacking output.

Saka has come off as a substitute in both of England’s starts this tournament. This is probably unsurprising given how much he runs himself into the ground while on the field.

As a result, opposing defenders become fatigued and are forced to deal with impact subs.

But that is entirely up to Southgate. Along with Saka and Sancho, Gareth Southgate has Phil Foden as a backup option, so he has a lot to ponder about.
